So, the final part of Ninas kitchen: a kitchen island on castors, easy to move around. We got most of the timber once again at Bunnings. They began to sell spotted gum some time ago and we thought, lets give it a go. It's a nice timber but incredibly hard (and hard to work with). Here a few pictures:

The main table size is 78x120cm. Already a nice working area. Fully opened, it increases to 78x200cm. Huge!

The sides can be raised up to extend the table top. Carried by two timber hinges and a central beam.

The timber has those blackish resin ducts. The resin itself is clear like water and quite runny. What's left is just the opening.
