Yep, there are white ants around here in Fairview Park. Even lots of them. Thank god there are normally only in the reserve next door, but sometimes they make it into the home. That's when it gets expensive...
So, it makes sense to know a bit about them, e.g. what they look like and how they live.

Termites don't really like light, so they always try to get shelter. If there is none, they will build their own. If you find muddy structures at the base of your home, it's quite likely that white ants build a little tunnel to get up the wall to an opening to get inside! It's like on the tree here, they build their nest at the bottom of the tree and eat themselves up inside it's trunk.
