It must have been a hard night for this strange creature - it fell into our pool and nearly drowned, but Max was out early in the morning and rescued it. He knew it already from school - it is a so called stick insect. This one measures an impressive 20 cm. The images show some details. The stick insect laid down on the frisbee and did not move so it was easy to take the pictures. Later when it has recovered it was very quick.
